Lenovo HW01 : Watch that can make you Fit and Smart

Hello all, Welcome back again.
Today i am going to review a latest entry in Smartwatch market by Lenovo. Lenovo has been doing great in the Smartphone market by launching great device at affordable price. Now Lenovo is thinking to end the monopoly of Xiaomi Mi Band 2 in the affordable Smartwatch category. So the Lenovo just launched a Smartwatch named 'Lenovo HW01' which is quite odd to sound but do exactly what a under Rs.2000 Smartwatch should do. We already have Xiaomi Mi Band 2, Some Smartwatch by Intex, Fastrack Reflex and Some by other New Unknown Brands.

Lenovo has launched this Smartwatch exclusively on Flipkart.com that mean you can only buy this Smartwatch through Flipkart only. And the good part here is that there is no 'Flash Sale' like things that we see with Xiaomi products. Well i have ordered one for myself and now want to share my finding in depth with you all. We will also do a quick comparison between the Lenovo HW01 and Mi Band 2. Let's talk about the Lenovo HW01 first.

Design
When you will unbox the Lenovo HW01, it look like a normal LED watch that cost around 200-300 only. But as you switch it on by tapping the small touch sensitive button on the bottom, the 0.91inch big display shows you the magic. You will see the Date, Time and Battery indicator and the Band shows you wrong time unless you download the Lenovo Smart Bracelet app and connect with that. Well in my initial use, the HW01 display is bright and easily visible even in the Sunlight thanks to the OLED display. The Band just a small virtual button on the front while Heart rate sensor and the charging port on the back of the band. The strap used in the band by Lenovo cannot be detach from the main hardware and offers a better grip in comparison to that offered by Mi Band 2. The band feels very light in hand as it weighs only 22 gram.
Performance
I am very much happy with performance shown by Lenovo HW01 in the little span of time.I will rate 3.5/5 for the performance give by the HW01 yet as i have seen a little less accuracy in step count and the music control feature doesn't work perfectly. Well these can be a software issue and can be rectified with an update easily but Lenovo is not very known for providing fast update to their device till now. Rest of the other feature like Calories burn,Click pictures, Heart rate sensor works good. The HW01 gives you calling alert, sms alert,whatsapp,Facebook,Instagram, Twitter and email alert. The big OLED display gives shows the caller id clearly. 



About the Lenovo Application
The Lenovo Smart Bracelet application can bbe download on both Google Play Store and on the Apple App Store as well for free. The layout of the App is very neat and clean. One need to enable the Smart Reminder to get Call,SMS and Social Alert on the Band. One need to use the App to capture photos using the Band. Overall the HW01 works perfectly with the App. The HW01 band can be used with Google Fit and Apple Health App.

Comparison with Mi Band 2
Well both the Mi Band 2 and Lenovo HW01 offers same features and have their own pros and cons.What i love in Mi Band 2 is the Mi Fit App, frequent updates and better battery back up while i like the big display and watch like strap that give strong and reliable grip in Lenovo HW01. Well what i hate is removing the Mi Band 2 device from the strap to charge that.
