Xiaomi Redmi 3S : Super Smartphone at Super Price

Hello All, I am here with one more Post where we review a Smartphone which is trending among all, A Super Smartphone at a Super Price...Yes I am talking about the much awaited and newly Launched Xiaomi Redmi 3S/3S prime.

The Xiaomi Finally Launched the much demanded Redmi 3S on August 3rd 2016. The launch Event was a small one due to the previous experience which was a nightmare for Xiaomi and this time they decide to invite only media persons. Anyways lets talk about the Smartphone now.
Xiaomi launched 2 variants of Redmi 3 in India. One is the lower price variant named "Redmi 3S"comes with 2GB RAM/16GB ROM and the higher variant named "Redmi 3S Prime" has 3GB RAM/32GB ROM with fingerprint sensor on the back which is not available with Redmi 3S.

I have the Redmi 3S Prime with me. First of lets talk about the specification this phone offer:-
Redmi 3S Prime powered with SOC 430 which is a 64bit A52 1.5 Ghz Octa Core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU for rich Gaming Experience. This Variant comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal Storage that can be further expanded to 128 GB through External SD card Slot(Hybrid Slot). The Redmi 3S Prime Variant comes with a Fingerprint Sensor placed at the back of the phone. The Fingerprint Sensor works very fast and can unlock the device in a fraction of second. The Phone has a 5" HD display with some additional feature like Reading mode,Night mode and other useful tweaks. The phone sports a 13MP Rear Camera and 5MP Front camera with PDAF technology for taking some great pictures on the go.

Now the most talked feature is the 4100 mAh battery that last for 1.5-2 days easily depending upon the usage. The phone has Infrared Blaster (IR Blaster) can be used to operate the home appliances with ease. The Phone has a Hybrid slot like the one used in Redmi Note 3 in which we can either use 2 SIM or 1 SIM with external SD card. The phone runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6 and support 4G with VoLTE. Lets Talk about the price and how you can buy the Redmi 3S/3S prime
Redmi 3S priced at INR 6,999 while Redmi 3S Prime priced at INR 8,999 with only difference in RAM/ROM and Fingerprint sensor. You can buy any of the variant on Flipkart and Mi official website every Wednesday during the open sale starts at 12 afternoon. Again Xiaomi Used the Flash Sale strategy which i found to be very annoying.
Conclusion
The Redmi 3S/3S prime is a power packed Smartphone at a stunning Price with some to no flaws like the Hybrid SIM Card Slot and the screen should have some protection. Excluding these two things phone is value for money device. I recommend the buyer to buy the 3GB variant to make the device future proof.
