Hello all,With the official confirmation of Apple new iPhone 7 or iPhone 6SE launch date which is 07.09.2016, Today i am going to share my opinion whether we should buy Apple iPhone 5s (a 2013 device) in 2016 for a price tag of 20k-22k or not. First all we should know about the Apple iPhone 5s in detailed. So without wasting must time, let's move the Apple iPhone 5s.
Apple Journey:-
Apple 'The World's most trusted Brand' is a American company founded by Steve Jobs in 1976. The main focus that time was to develop computers, But later in 2007, Apple launched the much awaited iPhone and after that the company launch a updated model every next year. They launched iPhone 3G in 2008, iPhone 3Gs in 2009, iPhone 4 in 2010, iPhone 4s in 2011, iPhone 5 in 2012 and in 2013 they come up with two model i.e. iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. And further the follow the same pattern in 2014 they launched two new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus and in 2015 they launched two updated model iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus. Every iPhone was a unique one in terms of speed and performance improvement. The great hardware and software integration with some great innovative feature makes the iPhone the best on performance device with great and useful feature to have in a device. Every device is better than the previous one that attracts the iPhone user to have the latest one. This makes the Apple 'World's largest IT company' in terms of revenue. In India due to non availability of Apple iPhone till 2012-13, Apple become a symbol of royalty and richness as very few owns the Apple iPhone. And the perception still continues in India and the Apple knows this very well too that's why the price of the iPhone in India is much higher as compared to other countries. We Indians are wanted an iPhone at any cost even any model, the only thing we need is the Apple logo on the back of our phone that we can show off in public. Anyways in 2013, Apple launched the iPhone 5s which is the top selling model of iPhone in their whole product line due to a feature that makes everyone a fan of iPhone 5s. And the feature is Touch Id by which a iPhone user can unlock his iPhone with a touch of his finger. Let's talk about the iPhone 5s in deatil:-

As i already told above, Apple launched the iPhone 5s in september 2013 which was a updated variants of the previous model iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s are almost similar in design with some few changes like the Touch id enabled home button in iPhone 5s that shines much and the packaging of the box. The iPhone 5s comes in a compact box as compared to iPhone 5 that comes in bigger box (almost double). Anyways let's forget the iPhone 5, we should focus on iPhone 5s.
Apple iPhone 5s becomes a breaking news when it was launched in 2013 just because of the Touch id feature which was a dream or a topic of discussion till that time.Even i was shocked to see that news. Touch id become one more good reason for the existing iPhone user and those who were planning to buy one that time. The camera and overall performance was already known to everyone. Apple iPhone 5s is undoubtedly a great and must have Smartphone but in 2013 or in 2014 too but in 2016 where we have so much great option with us that offers the top notch specification at the same price tag. The display size of iPhone 5s is 4" which is not a ideal size for the smartphone as they want a much bigger screen to maximize the entertainment. I also agree to the the fact that there are still many smartphone user who prefer a smaller and compact size but the percentage is lower that those who want a big screen device. Not only the Smaller screen size but the old hardware seems to be out of competition as other brand offers a much powerful Hardware for the same price. Let's find out the best alternative available to iPhone 5s in 2016 with a higher specification and with many more useful feature.
Xiaomi is one of the favorite Smartphone in India due to its great phone at great price tag. Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of the powerful smartphone that we can buy for the same price that of iPhone 5s. Currently Mi 5 is available for Rs. 22,999 on
Flipkart. Mi 5 is world's first to come with Snapdragon 820 chipset which a very powerful process. Mi 5 has a 16MP rear camera that takes very good picture both in day light and low light. The display size of Mi 5 is 5.15" which is again a neither too big nor too small makes the Mi 5 perfect substitute to iPhone 5s.
LeEco is again a Chinese brand that launched the powerful LeEco Le Max 2 in India 2 month ago. This phone agin comes with great hardware and has good camera too. The only thing i dislike in Le Max 2 is the Screen Size of 5.7" which i found to be very big. Except the Screen size, the Le Max 2 is close competitor of Mi 5 and a good substitute of iPhone 5s. The Le Max 2 priced at Rs. 17,999.
For Brand lover, Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 is a good option that comes in all aluminium and Glass body that makes the device very premium in looks. The display size of 5.2" super Amoled display makes the device a comfortable and sturdy to hold. The phone has a good hardware and good User Interface too. The rear 13MP and front 5MP camera lens perform their duties well. This phone is priced at Rs.21,900 on
Flipkart.
Asus recently launched their Zenfone 3 series and i already write a review on that. Please check the detailed review
here. I personally don't like the whole Zenfone 3 family due to bad pricing. If we don't look the price tag, the feature of Zenfone 3 specially the Camera will impress you for sure. Zenfone 3 priced at Rs.21,999.
